The Technical Writer will join a team of professionals engaged in a critical project which continues to grow and introduce new technology challenges. The Technical Writer will support the mission by: • Perform research, write, publish, and control manuals for equipment, system operation, and maintenance; • Ensure all CDRLs are published in the correct style and format; • Incorporate data into technical documentation; • Prepare preliminary editions of manuals for Government review; • Receive and incorporate comments and corrections; and • Produce final editions of the manuals. | ||
| Pay Rate | 24.40 per hour | ||

| Additional Information | A current, active TS/SCI with Poly is REQUIRED to be considered for this position. A Technical Writer shall have either an Associate Degree in any field and three (3) years experience OR no degree and five (5) years experience in technical writing; and be familiar with applicable Government and company technical manual standards. The Technical Writer shall have three (3) years experience in: • Technical writing, and experience in the preparation, review, revision, certification and the controlling of technical publications; • Proficient use of personal computers and word processing programs; • Progressive work which demonstrates the level of technical knowledge, and journalistic abilities required to effectively produce publications by: o Singularly writing substantial technical documents; o Developing illustrations for technical documents; o Formatting, controlling and interpreting/ summarizing technical documents. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate past experience in generating a minimum of two technical documents supporting a software development project.
