Our client, a heavy industrial, civil construction and construction management company is seeking a Transmission and Distribution Safety Specialist to advise Project Teams on achieving an injury free environment. The T&D Safety Specialist will be responsible for leading the development of the T&S Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Program, including assisting in developing and implementing skills based training programs designed to increase the overall safety awareness competencies of team members. In addition, the T&D Safety Specialist will:
Work as part of the management team at a project site to ensure all team members are working safely.
Assist with developing, conducting and documenting the jobsite safety orientations.
Actively observe and provide feedback regarding work and equipment to eliminate hazards and identify at-risk behavior and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Take an active role in the planning of work to identify potential safety issues and develop solutions.
Establish emergency planning with project management
Perform injury management
Ensure proper handling of all Hazardous Materials.
Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements relating to safety and environmental conditions.
Perform periodic industrial hygiene and environmental sampling.
Administer rubber glove testing, assured grounding, FR clothing and spill kit programs. |
