Job Title Plant System Engineer
Description The Plant System Engineer will work with Section Manager and Lead Engineer on plant system (nuclear steam supply system- NSSS), heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and balance of plant for a US Advanced Pressurized Water Reactor (US-APWR). The activities will include licensing support, engineering, procurement and construction. The essential duties include: Development of specifications Development of design/assessment documents and licensing documents including licensing application Site-specific engineering design/assessment of US-APWR Technical review of design documents and licensing documents, including those developed by contractors Technical response to questions posed by the NRC for US-APWR DCED and COLA Preparation of presentation materials and providing presentations to regulations, nuclear related organizations or customers Technical support for sales promotion activities in the US for MRI's nuclear business including response to questions from potential customers and assisting business presentations Attending regulatory and industry meetings, including those organized by NEI, EPRI, INPO, ANS and ASME Interfaces within the engineering sections and with MHI and subcontractors for US-APWR

Additional Information Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Science, Masters preferred. Mininum of 5 years experience in dealing with the technical aspects of nuclear engieering Working knowledge/familiarity with power plant design and design related codes and standards Working knowledge of power plant layout, CAD design and operation Knowledge/familiarity of quality assurance for nuclear plant, including 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 52 and ASME NQA-1 Professional Engineer License (Mechanical and/or Civil) in Virginia and/or Texas Minimum two years experience performing engineering and safety assessment at a variety of nuclear facilites (including PE sealing of technical documents and drawings)
